Our
Company Ethos

Fish in a Tree is a neurodivergent-led organization rooted in neurodivergent lived experience, the social model of disability, and neurodiversity justice. We believe neurodiversity is not a problem to solve but a strength to build around.

Our work goes beyond awareness and checkbox inclusion. We partner with universities, corporations, nonprofits, cultural institutions, and tech innovators to create meaningful change through consulting, training, keynotes, training, and coalition-building. Every engagement is designed to be practical, collaborative, and transformative, centering neurodivergent leadership at every step.

We are also building the infrastructure the neurodiversity movement has long needed: a U.S.-based graduate program in Neurodiversity Studies, the Board-Certified Neurodiversity Consultant professional credential, and the Neurodiversity Coalition of America, which sets the annual U.S. Neurodiversity Justice Agenda. These initiatives extend our consulting work into lasting systems change, establishing standards, pathways, and collective strategies that move the neurodiversity movement from awareness to justice.

Our ethos is simple: we will not replicate broken systems. We will help you build new ones where neurodivergent people, and by extension, everyone, can thrive.
